Home      Newcomers’ Information

Greeting and welcome to all of you who are interested in the SCA. The Chatelaine is the person in charge of getting information to newcomers of the SCA, so please if you have any questions please ask. I will do my best to give you the information, or lead you to the right resources that you need to get started in this wonderful Society.
We can help you get started on your first garb and help you learn about the different time periods and places of the middle ages. It is also my job to show you how the SCA is not like “Ren Faires”
My modern name is Augusta Saucer; I can be reached at chatelaine@nant-y-derwyddon.com.

As you get started with The Shire of Nant-y-Derwyddon (pronounced nant-ę-der-wid-un; meaning valley of the swallows in Welsh,) there are some easy steps to take to get you connected to the group and its activities! First please sign up on our discussion group, or look us up on FacebookŪ, second e-mail me and I’ll send you the Newcomer’s Information Form to help us get to know you and your interest.

Welcome to the Shire and to the SCA
Lady Catelyn the Wanderer (email:chatelaine@nant-y-derwyddon.com)
